This is the site to check if you are interested in visiting Ely and doing your own research. This site is sponsored by the White Pine Historical and Archaeological Society. It also contains some of the names of those buried in the Ely City cemetery and throughout White Pine County. Ruth Nevada
Great pictures and history of Ruth, Nevada! You'll want to check this one out for a trip down memory lane. It is fun for those of us who were not raised here too! We can see how things "use ta be!"

Ely Renaissance Society.
The Ely Renaissance Society represents an organized community effort to introduce culture and fine art into the community of Ely, Nevada. Since the Society was formed in 1999, a dedicated group of volunteers have began the arduous task of transforming the community's downtown business district into an area filled with art and culture. Thanks to their efforts, a visit to Ely, Nevada is further enhanced with a pictoral history of the place "Where the World met and became one." Ely has friendly people, clean air, good water and a pleasant environment. Now it can boast art as well - transforming blank walls and empty lots into a cultural experience.

Hiking the Ruby Mountains
This is a don't miss site. The pictures will show the visitor how lucky we are to live in this wonderful state. This site is updated periodically with new information and photographs. The site provides the prospective visitor/hiker/fisherman with all the information necessary to make the trip to this northern Nevada area. Explicit directions are furnished for locating the trailheads to the various lakes, and comments are made on fishing conditions for most of the lakes. Part 2 Supplement contains a Lake Name Directory chart that identifies the pages where information can be found for any of the named lakes.
